Yes right, very soon you will be able to be paid for your uploads. The idea is that every your upload you do will contain free spot for your own advertising. If you do not know how exactly use it to get money simple answer is you create account on Amazon or other parthner program, then put your ad feed link in the field when you creating upload and viola - you have your upload with your ads that will be there forever. More uploads we have - more people will download - more money you get. It is simple as that.
Why would people come here from pirate bay? Why would some1 even bother?
Well the answer is tricky. First of all this is not clone of pirate bay. PB have profits from ads beyond any imagination and they does not want to share with anyone - its just the place everyone use because there is no other safe place to upload. The other side of it is thousands and thousands of viruses, trojans and other shit in PB uploads. People always wanted to make easy buck from upload. We will not allow it. We chose to clean mess, delete stuff and check everything before approving. We will not have 470 uploads of same thing to confuse our users (that limits what you can upload and what you can not - hurry up to take most popular stuff for yourself).
Some numbers to catch your attention:
Home page of medium tracker have around 2 000 000 / day. Current advertising conversion rates offers around 2$/1000 visits. THis means 4 000$ / day from main page (Moderators will have a cut from this - another reason to keep this forum clean). This is only main page. Now look at the stats on the top PB uploads. Lets take a look here: http://thepiratebay.org/top/401 - look at first place, dead island. Numbers are 5600 seeders 4000 leechers. How long it was out? 5 days? So in 5 days it was downloaded by no less than 10 000 people (guaranteed 10 000 at this moment, actual number is way higher). Now as for the pirate bay - there is a solid rule - people are often stop seeding after downloading stuff so those numbers that shown are actually 8-10 times lower than numbers of visits (hello search engine traffic) - this mens that this only page with Dead Island could get around 100$-400$ (depending on bids and luck) to his uploader. That in 5 days. Add the perspective of having more and more visitors (it will have visitors in next day, next month next year, decade) you will see long tailed curve on your income. It is not a big money for average not-so popular upload we estimate around 20$-30$ aweek/per upload (imagine having 100 solid uploads?) but yet it is better then nothing for you folks, who doing same thing for free, does it?
For now forum have close to no content. You are allowed to take a first slice and upload best stuff, classics that will get guaranteed downloads in few month from here.
